Very very soft and
luxurious. Not itchy.
Lightweight. Even on #3
US needles it's quite
filmy and see-through
fabric. My Rowan
pattern book suggests
doubling it for more
substantial fabric. I
would not knit it as if
it were a worsted yarn.
It seems more like a
fingering or lace
weight to me. Probably
would be nice for lace
knitting, shawls, etc.

I did find this very hard to work with on metal needles, but that I had no problems working with it on plastic needles.

Delicious yarn. A
strong thread of silk
holds the mohair
fluff. Doesn't break,
doesn't shed, doesn't
mat. What it does do
is make a filmy,
ethereal piece of
lace. "Haze" is a good
name for it. A ball
goes a long way.

Used for a simple feather & fan scarf, looks far more elaborate that it is to make. Like knitting with cobwebs.

This is such a beautiful
yarn. I'm really
allergic to wool but
this mohair/silk mix is
so soft to wear even I
could manage it. It's
so nice to wear a
non-acryllic non-cotton
item for once. As far a
knitting it went there
was no pilling, tangles
or knots that often go
along with such fine fibres.

I knitted a fantastic floaty sweater but I could imagine using this yarn for any number of projects. Doubling it up as Rowan suggests would probably look great but would perhaps be a tad costly. A ball goes a surprisingly long way though.

I love this yarn. I
didn't have a knot in
three skeins, and
considering that its
full of mohair, it
barely sheds. I spent
many a night knitting my
shawl while wearing navy
blue pants, and never
ended up fuzzy. It's
very soft, completely
non-itchy, and doesn't
make me sneeze like some
mohairs can.

Other comments:
This yarn is perfect for lace. It is a little hard to work with at first - make sure to use a needle with a sharp point. Also, don't try frogging - it won't work. You'll end up with a tangled mess. Tinking is okay, though. You can make a large shawl out of 3 balls of the yarn, so while its 15 dollars a ball, 45 dollars for a lace shawl is a pretty good deal in my eyes.

I am using this yarn for
my second scarf project,
and am very pleased with
it! Super luxurious
feel, nice to knit with
(though it takes a
fairly sharp needle
point to easily knit
lace patterns with this
yarn).

Nice and soft, good for scarves and items worn next to the skin. Yummy for lace!
